A Mindfulness App That Causes You to “Trip”

A while back, I was looking for an app to help me feel calm and ease my anxiety. That’s when I found something completely different—a mindfulness app that feels more like a guided “trip” than traditional meditation.

I’m not being paid to recommend this. It’s just something I personally like and use.

The app is called Lumenate, and instead of just using audio, it combines light and visuals. When you close your eyes and follow the light patterns from your phone’s flashlight, it creates colorful shapes and effects that feel a out of this world.

What makes Lumenate unique is the way it uses your phone’s flashlight to pulse at specific frequencies. You close your eyes, and the light creates a range of patterns and colors that are surprisingly effective at helping you focus and relax.

The experience is almost dreamlike and it’s designed to guide your mind into a calm, focused state without requiring years of meditation practice.

What I like most is how Lumenate feels different from typical mindfulness apps. Instead of just listening to a guide, you’re fully involved in the experience.

On days when it’s hard to quiet my thoughts, the visuals make it easier to get into a meditative state without much effort.

Lumenate is available for both iOS and Android.

You can check out Lumenate here.
